Umpires

Freshmen Division
The Freshmen Division does not use umpires.  No balls and strikes are called and outs are a judgment call between both coaches.

Junior Division
For 2010, the Junior Division will continue with it's own in-house umpiring program. This successful in-house program is entering its third year under the direction of Gary Kelly.  Gary hires and trains high school varsity softball players to umpire the Junior Division games.  We hope to create an environment of having varsity high school girl athletes involved with the younger girls playing softball. 

Varisty High School Softball players can inquire with the league to become a qualified umpire.  You must be a varsity player (a Junior or Senior), in good standing with the coach, the A.D., and academics.  Training will be provided before the season starts.  For more information, contact Gary Kelly at .

Senior Division
The Senior Division will continue to use ASA Umpires.  ASA Umpires are experienced, professional and have a close working relationship with the Milton Girls Softball League.
