The Grades 3-4 Sophomore Division runs from early April through mid-June. This program focuses on the fundamentals of pitching, hitting, throwing, and catching. Girls learn the rules of softball by playing game conditions with a combination of player pitch and coach pitch. High school varsity girls umpire and call balls and strikes. Most regular softball rules apply.
Player is a resident of Milton or attends school in Milton.
Player is enrolled in Grade 3 or 4.
The league wants to ensure that we have competitive balance across all teams so we do our best to make sure each team has pitching, catching and an equal amount of 3rd and 4th graders.
Typically 2 games per week. The schedule usually includes games on Saturdays and mid-week @ 6PM. Expectation is that players will make at least 75% of all games.
1x practice per week. Coaches will also schedule practices before the season.
All teams make the playoffs. Single elimination format.
Jerseys are provided and handed out prior to the first game.
