Pitching Clinics
Our pitching clinics are led by experienced coaches who teach MGS players the basics of proper mechanics, correct footwork, arm circle, posture, and grip. Players will also learn age specific drills for accuracy, movement, and power.
All players registered in Sophomore, Junior, and Senior divisions are eligible to participate by choosing one of the following two skill levels: beginner and intermediate.
SKILL LEVELS
The beginner level is best suited for most Sophomores, a Junior or Senior who has pitched sparingly in games (generally fewer than 10 innings per season), or a player with little to no prior experience, regardless of age.
The intermediate level is best suited for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who are ready to improve their accuracy and power. These pitchers have at least one full year of experience (2+ innings per game) and perform basic mechanics consistently.
WHERE
The winter clinics are held indoors at Milton Academy at either the Caroline Saltonstall Gymnasium (CSG) or the Robert Saltonstall Gymnasium (RSG).
The spring and summer clinics are held outdoors at Kelly Field.
The fall clinics are held outdoors at Andrews Park.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Every pitcher must bring a ball, a glove, and their own catcher (preferably an adult) to every session.
Catchers are encouraged to bring a bucket or small stool to sit on.
