Monarchs Tournament Team
The Milton Monarchs are Milton Girls Softball's 12U and 14U Tournament Teams dedicated to fielding competitive, fundamentally sound, and exciting girls’ softball teams. The primary goal is to provide a competitive and intense program that is local, cost effective and reinforces town friendships.
The Monarchs focus on basic and situational skills for girls who want to compete at a high level and see high school softball as a goal. It is important for parents and players to understand that playing time is not equal and playing time is earned.
This competitive team will require girls to make a strong commitment. The commitment runs from January into late July and includes workouts, practices, weeknight summer games, and several weekend tournaments. The objective is to build a team that is highly competitive and designed to help girls who are committed to softball maximize their abilities. The expectation is girls on the Monarchs will make 90%+ of the practices, games, and tournaments.
Milton Monarchs offers dedicated practice time focusing on developing fundamental softball skills, improving softball IQ, and understanding softball situations. The Milton Monarchs are coached by paid softball professionals who are dedicated to this team and the Milton Girls Softball Program.
The program goals include:
- Create a competitive softball team to increase the overall development
- Raise the competition level for girls in Milton who are not playing for a Club team
- Prepare girls to play high school varsity softball while also becoming a feeder program for the Milton High School Junior & Varsity programs
